ROUNDEL STUDIOS are in the heart of the peaceful Kent countryside, and yet only two miles from the M25.

These are private studios, ideally suited to creative development and recording.  There have been countless albums and projects recorded here over the last 20 years, with clients ranging from Paul McCartney to Peter Green, Tony Hadley to Roger Whitaker, Dr Feelgood to Sonny Black, and Nine Below Zero to Eric Bibb - the list is almost endless!

Who are we?

The studios are a working base for musicians and producers Roger Cotton and Kevin Pyne.  Roger, who plays keyboards and guitar with the Peter Green Splinter Group, has a vast experience of studio production and engineering, working with some of the top soul, blues and jazz artists.  Many bands now tread a path to Roundel to capture the atmosphere and the vibe of these unique studios.

Kevin Pyne's background is not only in producing records and music but also working in films and TV for many years.  Together, we have written and produced music and sound tracks for film, TV and theatre, and have won awards for this.

Roundel is a great place to record.

The "live" room is round, resulting in a great live sound for drums, vocals, horns and strings.  Approximately 50% of the booking time is available to outside clients - bands that want a great sound, production and record companies who want to maximise their budgets, writers who want to develop and record their music in a conducive environment.  Roundel Studios are often compared to "Chess" or "Sun" studios.  It is a great place to record music.
